I leave on Tueday, and, surprise surprise, I'm still not packed. Well, I do have some clothes in my suitcase, but that doesn't count. I mean, I'm not even sure yet if it's the suitcase I'm going to use. But I'm always like this before trips.
I think it's partly to do with the fact that I still don't really believe that I'm going. I have it in my head that I'm going to get the the airport, and someone will jump out from behind a pillar and say "psych!" and then laugh at me and tell me that I have to go to school in Edmonton, and that I'd better register for some courses before they all fill up. Which would suck since all the good courses are already full by this time of year, and I've already paid for my room and ... well, you see how it is. I am a completely irrational human being at times.
I'm also getting really scared. I've never done anything like this. All my past travel experiences have been fully supervised by either my parents or school teachers. All I had to focus on was getting up on time and getting to the airport on time. Baaaaaaah.
So this time I'm pretty much on my own, with only some companions who have as much experience as I do (or less). I never really realized how everything costs money, and that's why all-expenses paid trips are nice.
But, then again, I'm going to Italy, and I'm going to be free to do what I want to do (more or less). I don't have to be anywhere at five in the morning unless I want to be somewhere at five in the morning. I'll be free to spend an hour drinking a cappuccino. Freeeeeeee
So I haven't been posting much, since I don't think anyone is really very excited about my home life (I mean, I don't know how excited I am about it at times...) but now that I'll be doing something exciting, I shall try to keep you up to date. I just need internet, which I'm not guarranteed of having until I'm in Cortona on the 7th, so just hang in there.
Until next time, arrividerci, i miei amici!
And this time, sorry, but I'm not translating. It would take forever, and I have to pack. And sleep.
